One of the most famous animals in Australia is the kangaroo.

The kangaroo is famous for having a pouch on its belly.

But only female kangaroos have these pouches.

Baby kangaroos are very small, as small as your thumb!

Mother kangaroos keep their tiny babies safe in their pouches.

These tiny babies grow very big and strong, though.
